Birthday Celebration!

Because I am turning 22 very soon, my bff :) came down and brought me a cake and cupcake delight in honor of my birthday. She's always doing amazing things like that! After enjoying some of the treats, we went to Taylorsville Dayzz and enjoyed the wonderful fireworks together. It was a great night!

I look like a giant standing next to Brittany because I'm too tall. Also, I'm sure you're tired of always seeing me in the same clothes in all my pictures. I noticed I need to update my wardrobe, or at least just start wearing different clothes once in awhile. I just like to be comfy!

Brittany's baking masterpiece. She's always been a great baker! You should try her ice-cream cakes. Delicious! Thanks Britt, it was great!

Hooray for Hiking!

So I have been doing a hiking class on Saturdays for about the last month. So far it's been pretty good, and I get a GREAT workout. If this doesn't get me in shape nothing will! These pictures are from the most recent hike we went on in Little Cottonwood Canyon.

Here Lydia and I are. It's kind of like hiking pregnant, only she is removable and I have a lot more energy because my body doesn't hate me quite as much.

Lydia loves hiking. She stares at the trees for a little while, sucks on her fingers, and then falls asleep to the rhythm of the walking and being snuggled so close to me.

Here is most of the group that I hike with.

The river was really full! It was a raging river of DEATH, except we did not careen down it, nor did we kiss any llama :)

Here is the view from 1/3 of the way up. I hiked 5 miles this last week. I wanted to make it to the lake at the end, but I couldn't make the last 1/2 mile because we had hiked up so far we hit the snow and the ice. It got really steep and I kept slipping. I knew the way back down would be worse and I didn't want to hurt Lydia by falling. I only fell once and she didn't even wake up. Even though I was in the snow, my legs were on FIRE! I was disappointed to get so close and have to turn around, but it's better safe than sorry and boy was I glad to get back to my car!

3 Months

Lydia is almost four months now and yet I'm just posting her three month old pictures. I'm getting behind. Oh well.

Her Aunt Ashley gave her a cute new bow and I thought she looked cute in just her diaper and her bow

She likes to make crazy faces all the time. She takes after her dad!

She always snuggles with her burp-rag and loves to play with her hands.

She is so wonderful and learning how to laugh. She rolled from her back to the stomach for the first time the other day. She doesn't like her stomache, though, and got mad that somehow she ended up there. Probably my favorite thing is her giant smile in the morning when she first sees you. :D I love you Liddie!

Family Pictures

Well we had family pictures taken about a month ago and these are some of our favorites. Unfortunately, it's not letting me load up more than these, so I'll have to try later to get more. You can see others on the side of our blog too.

Kelly Clarkson Concert

My good friend Brittany surprised us the other day. She said, "Do you guys want free Kelly Clarkson tickets and do you want us to babysitt Lydia so you can go?" Wow, awesome! So of course we went because I LOVE her! Thanks Britt! Here is our fun at the concert...

Brigham and I waiting for the concert to begin.

Kelly Clarkson performing.

It was a very rainy day, and it rained during the concert. It was still fun.

We got to see a beautiful rainbow throughout the entire concert. At one point there was even a double rainbow!

Kelly on the big screen.

Kelly was awesome live. She has an amazing voice and writes great music. I especially loved "My life would suck without you" because that's Lydia and I's song. I always sing that song to Lydia because my life really would stink without her. The concert was way fun and Brigham and I loved spending time together.

Officially BYU Alumi

So it's true. I am officially an alumni of Brigham Young University. I've been done with school since last December, but I just recently got my diploma in the mail.

I have always always loved BYU and always always wanted to go there. I remember in a blessing given to me by my dad, I was promised that if I made right choices I would eventually go to the school of my choice. Even though it took awhile and I made it through a round-about way, I did it!

Here is a thumbs up to myself for all the hard work I put into school. I paid for school myself, the entire way and I never had to pay a full semester of tuition because I always had scholarships to help out. It just feels good to see that hard work does pay off!

Here is my suprised face, because I honestly never thought the day would come that I would finish school. But one semester at a time and boom, it's done!

It's fun having a diploma. If only I could do something with it like turn it into money, ha ha. Honestly, I miss school and the learning. I love learning new things and growing as a person. I really loved learning about psychology and how humans work. I don't miss deadlines, studying, homework, or tests though. I'm grateful I have my education so I can support myself if I need and to help teach my children. Someday I'll go back and learn more . . . but for now I'll raise my family and stick with my shiny new diploma. :) GO BYU!!

Lydia Update

Well Lydia is going to be three months this Saturday. That's pretty crazy. We have loved every second of the last three months, well except for a few moments late late late at night when every normal human should be asleep... but anyways, it's been awesome. She has changed so much in the last month. Now she smiles all the time and she actually talks to you! If she's happy and you get close and start talking to her, she talks right back. It's so funny because in her mind she's carrying on her side of the conversation, but in reality it's just the same sound over and over again. Here's a video of her doing so...

It was hard to get a good video of her talking because she would always just start staring at the camera. But she really has become a chatter-box and will talk up a storm. She'll go on and on for a long time, it gets quite hilarious :)
This is how she sits, with her pot-belly and bottom lip hanging out.

I love the picture of her sleeping in her pink blanket because how she looks wrapped up in it, reminds me of a baby-fairy. I may be weird but that's what it looks like to me. She's so cute!

Lydia also got a new jumperoo that she loves to sit and jump in. Even when she's out of it, she still wants to stand all the time so you have to hold her up. I found her sitting this way one day when I went to check on her. She wasn't moving or doing anything.... just sitting there.
Also she really likes to chew off her fist, yum! She really gets going when she only gets a couple fingers in her mouth and you can hear her sucking from a mile away. We love our little lady and can't wait to see all the changes that will come in the next few months :)
